I am unfamiliar with this Entertainment Book. Is it something you specifically bought for Las Vegas, or a Locals Only thing? It it a coupon book that can be purchased online perhaps? Either way I'd like to know! i want one if it is really of good value. Thanks NerveEnding Jan 19, 12, 3:59 pm It is a national book with different books for different areas. www.entertainment.com (http://www.entertainment.com) Ya know... I didn't see many from the actual strip. Perhaps the preview only shows a few options though. I guess for $30 it's worth a try!? FriscoDad Jan 24, 12, 6:58 pm I bought a Dallas Entertainment Book and probably didn't get my money back. Most of the restaurants are 2nd or 3rd tier places you wouldn't normally go or - when it is a decent restaurant- they put tight restrictions on when you can use it. I visit Vegas a lot (4 times in 2011) and have considered buying the local book, but when I looked up some of the vendors/ restaurants, most of them were off the strip = not useful to me when I'm staying on the strip with no car. In summary, if you are local, you may get your money's worth, but I don't it will be worth it as a visitor. FriscoDad Jan 24, 12, 7:13 pm A better idea for visitors might be the American Casino Guide discount book or the Las Vegas Advisor coupon book, or Groupon local (Las Vegas). I monitored Las Vegas Groupon last year for a week long family vacation I planned last summer. I got 50% spa services at the Treasure Island (for the girls) and I got a great deal on Gameworks all day passes (for the boys). FriscoDad Jan 24, 12, 7:16 pm Final idea is restaurants.com. Sometimes they offer up to 90% off deals on some Vegas strip restaurants but usually they are slightly off strip (like the Pink Taco in the Hard Rock Hotel). |
