What is this rumour I hear about of Jetblue and JAL forming some sort of collaboration in BOS due to the new BOS-NRT flight?

Word on the street is that we are in talks with JAL for something on the NRT-BOS flight like you stated along with HA on the JFK-HNL route since they will be using T5 for the daily flight.

[Emphasis mine]

Care to elaborate?

JAL seems more willing to talk about it (http://www.ar.jal.com/arl/region/en/flight_planning/boston/index.html).

Wow! This is a first, another airline using T5?

Ok apparently it has changed. When HA first announced JFK-HNL, Terminal 5 was listed as the arrival terminal but now it has apparently changed to Terminal 4.

If B6 had the space (I am not sure if an A330 could fit in T5) , it would make sense. They would also have to change counter for HA checkins. Perhaps when they do the T5I (expansion) this may happen.

Gate 27 is able to handle a 330 with no problem. If you look back in the Hawaiian forum when JFK was announced you will see other people posting that it was originally T5 as well but apparently the flight will be going to T4. I just don't think we have the holding space for a 330 flight in T5 right now.

Right. HA will be at gate 27. I think you've still talking about JL & B6 will gets interline agreements and not an codeshare.

It's been confirmed that T5 will house the HA daily JFK-HNL flight. Stay tuned for an announcement later today.
