In April, I'm flying AZ in Business on a LHR - FCO - NCE route.

It's my first time flying this airline, and I'm excited to try it out.

What can I expect in FC?

Thanks!

Alitalia does not offer First Class service, so you're probably talking of a business class ticket.

You will probably find it very comparable to a domestic FC in the US, except the fact that the seats are the same for business and economy (in the business section, however, the middle seat is blocked empty and turned into a large armrest).

You will get some food, and depending on the aircraft you may have some audio/video entertainment.

I'm flying this route at least 15 times per year and never thought about buying a business class ticket which costs almost 900 euros compares to 150 euros in Y (sometimes less). For what I've seen from my Y seat, business class "meal" is a small tray with cold cuts and a mini cold pizza. Drinks are the same as in Y + the wine and prosecco I think. Flight time 45 mn. You'll have lounge accessin FCO and NCE and priority boarding (not implemented in NCE thanks to the always efficient AF staff who's handling AZ operations there). No security fast track in NCE. C Class is almost always empty except on Sundays evening when it's full of passengers connecting at FCO.

Enjoy your flight!

Yes - my mistake. I edited the original post accordingly.

This is my first time to Nice. I'll be there for a few days. Could you, per chance, send me a private message with some suggestions for lodging, food, and activities?

Also, I made a mistake in the posting. I'm actually flying LHR - FCO - NCE. I imagine the LHR - FCO doesn't change anyone's reports on the Business Class amenities, right?

You really should go to the T4 lounge at LHR. One of the best in Skyteam's system.

LHR-FCO might have better food options! The AZ lounge at FCO is at T3 D gates. Flight to NCE depart from T1. Unfortunately T1 AZ airside Lounge has been shut down recently.

First Class? You must be dreaming. No such class is offered by Alitalia.
