Hi there!

Just have a few (potentially stupid) questions about air travel. Bare with me as I've never actually flown overseas in my adulthood, so I don't know a lot about it!

So I'm going to the US in 3 months time (Late March) and returning early April. (10 day short stint) I'm starting off in New York and then Heading to Miami (4 nights NY and 5 nights in Miami)

However, I'm planning to book my flights and accomodation in about 6 weeks time as I don't have the funds until then! So the questions I have are:

1. Will my flights get MORE expensive as the dates get closer?
2. Will I struggle to find a seat on a flight if I wait 6 weeks?
3. Will accomodation get MORE expensice as the dates get closer?
4. Will I struggle to find accomodation with 6 weeks to go before I arrive? (Obviously there will be LESS accomodation, but based on your experience, at that time of the year, what are the chances? (I'm only looking at Budget accomodation BTW)

Thanks very much for your help!

often, air fares can be cheaper mid week....you could verify it by pricing some....good luck...

I've done some research and flights do seem cheaper mid-week.

For example, for United Airlines, I was able to get a round return trip for a bit over $1600. So if I was to search for the EXACT same flight in about 6+ weeks, would the price be likely to change? Do these Airlines usually start bumping up the prices of flights earlier to the departing date?

Sorry if my questions sound confusing!
