Flying Blue (Air France, KLM, and Other Partners) - Received my First Upgrade

Good morning. I'm happy to report that I received my first upgrade with AF yesterday on a 777 flight from CDG to IAD. My booking had been for an A class seat; however on checking into the lounge in 2E at CDG the attendant advised me id been upgraded to business class.

Have to say the service and experience was excellent. Flying back IAD-CDG-MAN on Saturday on the A380 with an A class ticket. Dont suppose there is much chance of lightening striking twice but I can dream.

Not 100% sure what you mean delanotre? But if you are asking if i have been offered an upgrade, if i paid for it before, then the answer is no.

I have only had one upgrade before and it was on an a Middle Eastern Airlines flight from BEI to CDG on a Y class AF ticket. At the time it was the flight which moved me from Ivory to Silver and I wondered of that may have been the reason for that particular upgrade.

Was really impressed with it siliconflyer. Was totally out of the blue which was nice, but the service, food and wine was lovely. Also the individual thank you from the FA towards the end of the flight was a great gesture. Impressed :)
