I usually play at Planet Hollywood's high limit room $100-200 per hand. Last time I was there I found that they moved the room yet again, almost right in the middle of the casino. I prefer a little more quiet and private atmosphere.
Does anyone out there have any recommendations for a good HL room in Vegas with a decent atmosphere and dealers? No preference to comp program.

I highly recommend Club Privé at Bellagio (across from the craps tables). Despite heavy traffic outside the room, it is usually pretty quiet inside. Great dealers (many of them have been there since opening), really good bar, and awesome bartenders. It's technically a lounge so it has its own bar along with at least one dedicated cocktail waitress for a maximum of 6 tables, ensuring quick drink service. The room has its own bathroom, and they'll even let you eat in the lounge if you're gambling enough. During peak hours like weekend nights even the 6-deck shoes can go up to $300, but otherwise they are usually at $100. Sadly mlife sucks, but I guess you can't have everything.
Cosmopolitan's new high limit room is very private; it opened about two months ago (it's where the old Platinum lounge used to be), but the lowest min was $500 both times I played there on my last trip.

Try the Palazzo. It's very nice and private. It's in the corner by Jade sort of behind some pai gow tables. Not loud, private bathroom, separate bar.

Cosmo's high limit tables switched to H17 on double deck tables, so I can't recommend it any longer.

I like Paris. Just off of main casino, but quiet and private.

+1, also excellent beverage service.
Epic macao-baccarat back over NYE and New Years Day.
Prive has been good to me. I was down to my last $500 chip and ran it up.

Cosmo is hit or miss for me. Two trips ago, I picked up 7 chocolates in 15 minutes. Last trip, they just manhandled me in 10 minutes. Couldn't win a hand to save my life.

Haha yea... obviously this is a game of luck, but lost several Gs in like an hour. Everytime I doubled on 10 or 11, I ended up getting a really low card. The dealer on the other hand, showing a 5, would end up with a 20 or 21...
Terrible! Trying my luck at the Palazzo in a few weeks again, and then back at Cosmo in a month haha.

+1 for the Paris....not the highest end room, but service is solid and there are snacks and a private bathroom

From what I recall, the BJ rules are not favorable inside the Paris salon. Double on 10 and 11, no split after double, etc... Or am I forgetting things in my old age?

I haven't been there in a few years, but my memory is that the BJ rules in the salon were slightly better (e.g., dealer stands on soft 17) than on the main casino floor

BTW, is the rumor that when playing in the Talon Club at the Cosmo they'll bring you any item from any restaurant on the property comped true? Staying there next week and usually play $100-200 a hand, so that'd be a nice perk.

I thought Talon, at least the baccarat, was $500/hand and up.

From what I've heard it can be $500 and up on the weekends, but tends to hang around $100 on weeknights. I read it on the internet so it must be true, right? ;) I guess I'll see when I get there tomorrow.

Lowest I've ever seen in Talon is $300 (and that was just once), but I haven't been there in the middle of the week.

Of course they'll bring you anything you want to eat - I've dined in there many times. But they're certainly not going to sign off on an unlimited discretionary at $100 or even $200 a hand.
