Avis - Ford MyKEY

I picked up a Taurus at PBI, 720miles on the odometer and Sirus still works. When I put the key in the ignition under the spedo the display says something along the lines of "Ford MYKEY, Speed limited to 80mph" As I was driving to my hotel I had already changed the speed sensitive volume to the maximum of 7. I was not getting the volume I wanted and clicked the volume up until I noticed it was not getting louder. The radio display said Volume Limited MYKEY.

I did take the car up to 80mph and sure enough it cut the WOT down to about 2K rpm. I also discovered that if you put it in manual shift mode (SES model) and forget to hit the flappy padels it cuts throttle at redline instead of automaticlly upshiffting for you.


Has anyone else gotten "MYKEY'd"?
