Etihad Airways Etihad Guest - Help with EY fare basis...

Would anyone care to have a crack at deciphering the following Etihad fare basis - HSD12MBE? Trying to work out whether it's eligible for an upgrade. Any help very much appreciated :)

Thanks CalFlyer - BRU to SYD return (more detail below). A friend's son bought this as a student fare and wants to know if he'll be eligible for either award or cash upgrade. He has tried to check with the online travel site that he bought it through however apparently they tried to charge him a 35 EURO fee just for the pleasure of speaking to them! Any light you can shed would be very welcome.
