Etihad Airways Etihad Guest - Access to F lounge at AUH

Hi,
I know that accessing the lounge is good when the departing flight is in F. But what if I am arriving in F and connecting in Y?

Let's make it more interesting, my connection is in ME (which is code-sharing with EY) instead of EY. And they're 2 separate paid tickets -not redemption.

From what has been mentioned on here before, lounge access seems unlikely. Generally accepted seems to be that F lounge on an F arrival is granted if the following leg doesn't offer F and the passenger is booked in the highest available class of service on the following flight (J on most routes, Y on some like AUH-CMB).

That said, give it a go. If you are nice / get someone in a nice mood they may let you in. Worth a shot - do report back here on what happens!

I decided to go in J and connect in Y on EY codeshare. Will try my luck at T3 lounge before I head to Al Reem lounge. Thanks
