Online Travel Booking and Bidding Agencies - Could someone please help on my question about Airline Ticket Numbers

This is my first time to book air ticket from online travel booking agency. My trip is round trip from YVR(Vanocuver) to CAN(Guangzhou, CN) and the departure flight is with China Eastern Airlines, 1 stop flight from YVR to PVG (Shanghai Pu Dong Apt, CN), then from PVG to CAN. Return flight is with another airline, China Southern Airlines, non-stop from CAN to YVR.
But after booking, I got the Airline Ticket Numbers for China Eastern Airlines only. Just wondering, should I get a different Airline Ticket Numbers for China Southern Airlines or is this only Ticket# good for both airlines?
Never travelling with different airlines before and worrying if China Southern Airlines would know I am their passenger since checking the credit card transaction, the money was charged by China Eastern Airlines only.
Could someone please help clarify?
Thanks.

It will be only one ticket number.

It is one ticket, so it will just have one number. Don't worry, you are fine.

Each airline may have a separate reservation number, but they will all be under one ticket number. If you are concerned (and it's a good idea anyways even if you are not concerned) contact both airlines to make sure the reservation is in their systems.

Many, perhaps most Online Travel Agencies (OTA) will provide a record locator for the second airline, as well as for the ticketing airline. Look in the confirmation email they sent to you for it. If you have this, you can often directly look up your information on the website of the second airline.

If you can't find it, call the OTA and ask them to provide it to you.

On a complex reservation it might look something like this:

Orbitz record locator
Airline 1 record locator (ticketing airline)
Airline 2 record locator
Airline 3 record locator
Ticket number from Airline 1

I have had up to four airlines on one ticket.

For Orbitz, this info was located near the top of their "Travel Document."

In one case, where I had tickets issued by one airline, but all flights operated as codeshares by a second airline, I did not receive the Airline 2 record locator. Then you will need to call in.

Thanks all for the good information. There is only one reservation number and it's good for both airlines, I already phoned the airlines and confirmed the ticket.

I would be suspicious about having only one PNR for two airlines. You might be looking at the on line travel agency's own record locator.
