Just a quicky to put my mind at rest.

Looking at a trip BOG MIA JFK LAX LHR LAX MIA BOG with LAX-LHR and LHR LAX on an AA flight number operated by BA

Ticketed in an AA Q fare, just to confirm, I will receive 100% miles for the BA operated segments plus 100% elite bonus kms on account of it is on an AA ticket with an AA flight number.

I haven't credited an AA ticketed BA operated flight to LANPASS before

I am presuming that it will all credit automatically as above but on the off chance that it doesn't will I have any problems submitting a BA boarding pass with an AA ticket number and presumably a BA flight number to the back office or will I once again receive 200% kms?

in case the automatic credit works you should be fine and get "AA" mileage. in case the miles won't post and you have to do a retroclaim you will probably only get the 25%. happened to me on a BA flight booked under QF flight number LHR-SYD-LHR. while I received 100% kilometers on the outbound, the inbound segments did not post. i claimed the miles and only received 25% because they said it was a BA operated flight

Hmmm that would suck

I dont suppose it is possible to check in online for the BA flight to get an AA boarding pass with the AA flight number on it. Or when I start my itinerary is there any chance that they would check me in for the subsequent flight with an AA boarding pass? Dang that won't work because I will be originating at LHR with BA for the return

I asked atencion premium to clarify the above and I got the most useless LANswer ever

What the devil is that supposed to mean? I have asked then specifically si un vuelo ha sido vendido como vuelo de AA con numero de vuelo de AA y tiquete de AA, acumulará 100% mas 100% si es vuelo operado por BA?

Oh, don't get me started. I recently sent a request quoting the specific terms and contitions they promised asking for action and they replied telling me the terms and conditions! The new delincuentes they hired to answer our emails are clearly anal retentive.

At last a definitive and hopefully correct answer

Seems if you send your boarding pass in for a BA flight and add your itinerary or e-ticket to show you bought it as an AA flight then it will be credited as sold. The only exception is IRROPS when you fly something that you didn't buy

that's the theory. they fully ignored that with my SYD-LHR BA boarding pass booked as QF codeshare. i sent them the boarding passes and the e-ticket confirmation

quite frustrating because you only get about 5000 km instead of almost 20000km

Tell me about it, round trip LAX LHR is 35000kms incl elite bonus with AA
or a piddly 4400kms with BA

Well I got my kms finally but it was a dog of a job

Neither BA flights credited automatically, I requested them and they showed up about 80 days later

LA told me that AA rejected my BA flight from LHR to LAX, they told me that the same day that AA confirmed it qualified for 100% kms and the coupon was used.

All's well that ends well I suppose but damn it is annoying fighting with LAN for what they promised us. I flew BA rather than AA for some Y comforts. Was it worth having to enter into a seemingly endless string of emails with LAN? Probably not
