All Nippon Airways Mileage Club - Does ANA release award seats closer to departure date?

I am actually booked on a flight from SFO-NRT on May 14 but I want to see if I can switch it to an earlier date. Any insight or advice on whether ANA will release more business class seats when closer to the departure date?

Please do a search, as this question has been asked many times before. The answer, in short, is that it depends on loads and status.
