Asiana Club - Thai W class mileage accrual to Asiana?

Hi all,

I'm Diamond in Asiana Club and going to be taking a few flights in Southeast Asia. Thai Airways has some really cheap flights in W class, but I'm not sure if they qualify for mileage on Asiana. I thought perhaps someone here would know.

The W tickets I found on Thai don't qualify for mileage in Thai's own Orchid Plus FF programme, according to the fare conditions. But for Asiana Club, according to its website, the following classes on Thai qualify for miles:

Economy: U, Y, B, M, H, Q, T, K, S, *V, *W 100%
No - Miles: L, O, R, I, E, N, X, G 0%
Effective Nov 7, 2011: *V, *W : 0% -> 100%(for only Domestic Flight)

This is from http://ea.flyasiana.com/Global/EA/en/homepage?fid=CLUB15200

How I'm reading this is that international flights on Thai W accrue 100% of actual miles flown to Asiana; domestic flights used to accrue nothing, but since 7 Nov they accrue 100%; and that this happens regardless of whether they accrue to Thai's own programme or not.

Anyone might be able to help me out and confirm whether my reading is correct?

Thank you so much!

I think you've got it backwards. I'm guessing before Nov. 7, 2011 all TG V/W earned 0. After that, only domestic V/W earn 100%. All international V/W will earn 0. That's the same as with TG's own program, and has been like that for some years.

Ah, that makes a lot of sense. Thanks, A_Lee!
