KLM Flying Dutchman - KL: DPS-SIN Upgrade worth $100 ea?

Have a chance to Upgrade from EC to J on KL 836 DPS-SIN (2.5-3 hr flight).
Already booked in seats 9A,B which look like the best in coach on the 777.
For basically $100 each I can re-fare the ticket into "M" class and apply a SWU to get us into the "O" bucket. Since the base fare was only $115 US or so not sure if its worth it.
Any opinions or expert analysis out there? Thanks ahead of time.

$100 isn't much but it's up to you if you value it. For more info check out this trip report on a.net (http://photos.airliners.net/aviation-forums/trip_reports/read.main/198914/) which covers both Y and J on DPS-SIN vv. You can see what you can expect.
i recently flew SIN DPS in J on KLM.
Did get a full meal so that was quite nice
but for me i do value the fact i was able to get off the plane first and beating the rest at the immigration lines.. ( which in dps could potentially be quite long)

Well in that case the price is actually $100 + one SWU. For just $100 it might be worth it...but is the SWU not (much) more useful/valueable when applied to a longdistance flight?

In this case no it does not have a greater value- it is a DL SWU that expires in 5 days. I need to decide to either use it ASAP (by paying a $100 upcharge I can use it on KL).

But the real question. Did you get a house?:)

I believe you should get a KLM huisje. They keep track who gets off at SIN and who gets on at SIN so people travelling AMS-DPS only receive one house.

I am in need of some advice please.
I have 4 seats DPS SIN booked in August one way in M class..
I was offered £25 to sit in economy comfort today (thats each) when selecting seats but what I would like is to pay for an upgrade to J. I paid just $445 US for 2 adults and 2 kids and note that the fare in J is $1245..
I .would pay this but there is no option to upgrade and my question is do KLM offer upgrades in advance, at on line check in or at the airport?
Is there a guide to the costs anywhere? Does anyone have eerie nice of upgrades at DPS and how they are costed/managed.
I have no status with them and booking M class was a rush of blood to the head. It is part of a First LHR HKG SIN trip on BA/CX. SIN DPS is on jetstar due timings.

When checking in online you might be offered a cheapo upgrade. Otherwise you can always ask at the airport but the chance they offer you a heavily discounted upgrade is small.
