American Express Membership Rewards - Credit on SPG AMEX account

Does anyone know what happens if I returned something aand have a credit on my SPG account? Will they send em a check automaticalyl or do I need to request for it? I'm at work so can't make call right now. Just want to know what others have experienced.

If you close the account they should send a cheque. Otherwise it will just keep showing as a credit.

I did this and then requested that the credit be moved to another Am Ex card of mine that I was meeting the minimum spending on. They did no problem.

Federal law requires that they refund credit balances within a certain period--90 days?

That's odd, I think it took nearly 6 months to get my check in the mail. I kept seeing a credit of $0.86 for some reason and was too lazy to call in. I kept getting a statement that said I had a credit but eventually they just sent a check.

If you don't want to call in and want the check right away, you can just send a secure message asking for a check to be cut.
