The ES Piscataway is next door to my building. I've been there for lunch a few times & I've seen a few of the rooms. They are ordinary ES rooms. The hotel is on the newer side.

I can't answer about the gold upgrade, as my company maintains some rooms there, and those are the only ones I have seen.

Careful if you're there on the weekend. It's a local hotel that seems to be used alot for slumber parties. It seems that some parents rent out several suites and hold birthday/slumber parties. I think it may be because of the indoor pool.

Hi,
This thread is really old. I'm looking for experiences/feedback on hotels in the morristown, NJ area.

Any recent stays here?

not exactly Morristown, but a few in the vicinity...

HGI Edison - no upgrade, though not sure they have suites anyway. convenient location just off highway. but just off highway, so some noise and exhaust. very good breakfast.

HI Somerset - upgrade as gold to a suite (i.e. 2 adjoining rooms). but it's a hampton... breakfast selection was limited but fine.

DT Somerset - best of these 3. outstanding treatment with a 10am check-in, nice upgrade, and fruit basket as a gold member. i didn't try the breakfast.

... and if you DO stay at Embassy Suites Hotel,Piscataway-Somerset(NJ), please ask for a quiet room. Some of the aircondition units are very (I mean VERY) loud!!!

Also note the on going Double Points on each qualified stay recorded between November 1, 2006 and February 28, 2007 at Embassy Suites Hotel,Piscataway-Somerset.

I stayed on a weekend night once and we were on 5th floor over the front door. Not a good spot as a bus with drunk wedding reception people came back at 2 AM and kept me up for 20 minutes. The next time I stayed on a weekend they had one of those kids sleepover parties and there were 50+ kids at the pool yelling and screaming. So, I don't think I would suggest staying on a weekend, but weeknight should be fine.

That pool water is ice cold anyways.

The only cool is that as a Diamond you'll get a flashy Embassy bathrobe to show the crowd that you have more status than them!
