CommunityBuzz! - Anyone up for helping me celebrate my 10TH FT anniversary with a CDG Do June 2012?

Seeing as I'll have just passed an FT milestone in May I thought I would solicit interest in a mini-FT Do in the City Of Light as I'm there on a 10 night stay in early June.

I've seen a few posters from CDG so thought it couldn't hurt to gauge those members and others who may be in the city around that time.

I'll be in Paris for the month of June, it could be fun to get together. I'll have to come incognito in case anyone that I've been a smart-alec to on FT turns up as well :)

No worries as we're all fairly well behaved in person and overindulging in the wine might be the only concern. :)

My timeframe in CDG is 2-10 June and as of the moment don't have anything set in stone yet. The closer I get the more things I'll be confirming like bike tours, day trips out to Versailles or Chartres or restaurant reservations.

Any excuse to go to Paris works for me - hanging out with fellow FTs makes it all the more sweet! I'm interested depending on the dates....

I'm okay with Sun., 3rd or Mon., 4th June and what about 6:30-7:00. I know this is earlier than most locals start eating but thought it might be easier to get a table for 4-6.

I thought of something informal for a venue, like a cafe or bistro so hopefully we could enjoy warm weather on the sidewalk. Perhaps those more familiar with the city can recommend some places but I've been doing a little online research and have a few eateries I want to try while in Paris. One location that seemed comfortably casual is Les Papilles, a small bistro & wine bar steps from Luxembourg Gardens.

Anyway, a few thoughts and hopefully a few others can join in for some wine & dine. :)

Sorry but no can do as I'm not in CDG that long.

Am a likely for the Dubai do that same month, so, being London-based, as long as it's not the same weekend, could easily pop over by plane or train.

Well, it's 60+ days out and so will give it a while longer before gauging interest again.

Me & The Little Woman will be in Paris May 11th-May 17. Other than dinner plans with a friend from Dallas on the 11th, we are wide open.

A firm date in May isn't going to happen for me as I'm there in June as is noted in the thread title.

I thought I'd update this thread one last time to see if there was more interest in a small Paris get together in early June.

We can use that as a possible date & time but for better or worse that's really one of the rare times I can fully commit to as have been booking tours in and around the city. We can, of course, look at other venues if someone has a more suitable location they know and love.

If you can make it please post and I'll update the original post with the names and we can go from there. :)
