hi there. Important question: I remember that Gulf Air used to have a partnership with Cathay Pacific in miles accrual, is this still on? in both airlines website, this has been removed and is no info is available. Yet, in Gulf Air's online ticketing engine, you can choose CX Marco polo for FFP and insertion of the number. Can anyone confirm this? also, this might be dump but either way is this only applicable towards miles accrual? does it apply also for tier status advancement??

No you can still earn Asia miles (CX) when you fly Gulf Air. But the earning class is very limited compare with before. Now only JCDYHKLMQ earns you miles.

yeah, I've known that it's only one way around as its only on Gulf Air that you can gain miles accredited to CX. But does it also count towards the tier miles/status?

No. Only Asia Miles which is reward miles.
