Thailand - Lodging on Ko Pha Ngan for full moon party?

Obviously I don't think this falls under the purview of the "luxury hotels forum," I'm looking for suggestions on where to stay in or near Haad Rin (don't want a long walk home after a rough party and don't mind the noise). I don't really care about price, but I'd ideally have no more than a 3-5 night minimum stay required (I understand they frequently impose minimum's around Full Moon). Thanks!

Why not stay in a nicer, safer area and just get a songthaew home when you're finished having fun?

I don't know, I've never been to Ko Pha Ngan before. Open to any and all suggestions.

I haven't been to Koh Pa Ngan in many years but remember the northern areas were quite peaceful.

You're likely to get better lodging and the ability to get away from the madness when you desire to just by staying at another beach.

Is Ban Tai beach too much of a hassle to get back to post-party? I found a place there (B-52) that looks nice enough, cheap enough and offers a free ride to the party even.
