Italy - pradaxa in italy

i have been told i can buy pradaxa in italy without percription. is that correct, and what is the price? the price in usa is either $170 or 240 for a 30 day supply. with a card the price can be reduced to $30-140/month.

we have purchased a number of drugs in europe where they are treated as over the counter, and maybe even prescribed by the pharmacist that are considered class III substances in usa(big time narcotics).

alice, thank you for looking. yesterday, i was give 30 days of samples and a fresh prescription by the doctor. this is a big deal, as a 30 day supply costs 150-250 in the usa. i was still unable to get through to the authorizing number. i recognize that science and medicine do not mix(i taught premeds and prenurses). the nurses were pretty bright. i also tutored foot ball players(at ohio state, no less) they were surprisingly bright. so, i know what to expect from the world of "medical science"(an oxymoron).

I am not sure if this still applies, but you should really talk to your doctor before starting a new med, esp one like Pradaxa (http://www.newsinferno.com/pharmaceuticals/pradaxa-bleeding-deaths-reported-in-117-more-patients-ismp-finds/36626) which has been increasingly associated with bleeding complications, etc.
