Hilton HHonors - VIP reward redemption extended until 6/6

Did anyone forget to redeem their VIP awards? When I asked to be speak to a supervisor, I was told they will extend redemption until 6/6!

So did you redeem any after May 31st?

Now, if it was still possible to get a GLON, this would be great.

Maybe they were talking about the actual redemption process. I called on the 31st, when their computers were down as we all know, and was told that all requests were being documented on paper. Once their computers were up and running again, the requests would be entered. I checked and my 2 TEENs went through yesterday afternoon.

I made my phone call around noon and I'm sure there are many more people who called after me so it might take them several days to transfer all the requests and send out e-mails or FAXes.

Yes, ask for a supervisor! I think this ends this Friday, 6/6!

This is very classy of Hilton. I for one am impressed with their efforts to go the extra mile for members.

I can't fault Hilton for inflating the most generous award in the industry, and in fact the only nit I could pick on the ALON/GLON/TEEN change is that the announcement could have been made more prominently. But we all know from experience that it is truly rare that a program draws attention to adverse changes.
