As everyone has noticed (who is planning spring break in Orlando) - rates for car rentals are outrageous. Even small rental companies want a little fortune.
My trip is March 31 to April 7, 2012 (1 week + extra 1 day due to time difference in car return). Cheapest rate Orbitz showed was $465 for Full-Size car and that's not for major rental companies. Those were over $800 for Full-Size car. Seriously?
Anyway, here is my secret recommendation for a major car rental company - Dollar Rent A Car - directly on their site - http://www.dollar.com. In Corporate just enter "BJ5013". Magically my 8-day rental was under $315 with tax ($195/week before taxes + $39 extra day).
