Asia - Finding Nonstop Flights from SGN?

We are flying into SGN for holiday and would like to go SGN-XXX-BKK with XXX being a non stop flight and someplace that has great beaches. We've been to HKT and SIN already.

The BKK is because we fly BKK-NRT-MSP on the way home.

This would be for late Jan. early Feb.

use expedia/travelocity for the route....they will show a number of options....hopefully some will be non stop....

Sorry, not going to be that straightforward--SGN isn't that big of an international hub. You have two conceptual choices:
1) Stay in Vietnam. Mui Ne is driveable from HCMC. By, air, Nha Trang and Con Dao have been mentioned above, but check weather for the former and research the latter to see if it's your cup of tea. Also Phu Quoc, which might be your best bet, you'd round-trip domestically fly this to/from HCMC then do an international flight to Bangkok for your onward. All of these are probably the most time- and cost-effective vs the next category.

2) Leave Vietnam. If you want to stay in SE Asia, you'll have to go through somewhere else first. Either SIN, then connect to a different destination, or KUL. You could try KUL then head for somewhere like Langkawi. Or just go back via BKK and HKT, and then go north to Khao Lak by road. Or BKK then Samui on the Gulf side. You could also fly to Manila and connect to somewhere like Boracay, though that's a lot more work to get to and likely requires an overnight in Manila.

Selection might also depend on how much time you have, if you want opportunities for more activities than just laying on a beach, and budget.

As mentioned in other replies, SGN is not a great hub, so your idea would be hard in practice. There used to be a direct SGN-HKT, but it's been discontinued and you've been there already. There also used to be a direct DAD-BKK flight but it's been cancelled too.

The closest I can think of a place not too far, with direct flights from SGN and to BKK, with beaches and where you've not been yet is HKG. If you thought that SIN qualified for great beaches, then maybe you would be OK with that too :p

Otherwise, follow the advise in other replies and make a connection somewhere.

You said your traveling late Jan - early Feb. TET Holiday is running until Jan 30 for many people in Vietnam, so hopefully your traveling to Nha Trang in February. Most transportation sells out during TET many weeks in advance.

The beach in Nha Trang itself won't compare to Phuket, but there are some nice beaches just south of the airport in Cam Ranh Bay (about 30 minutes south of Nha Trang).

I would not call Nha Trang a great beach destination - fair. I don't like the city of Nha Trang at all. Hoi An would be much more pleasant, and Mui Ne or Phu Quoc have better beaches. Whatever beach you go to in Vietnam will simply not compare with one in Thailand. Since you're headed home through Thai, why not go to one of the islands there?
