Interesting question. This promotion has been around for awhile and unless they've fixed some things over the years, very few of the hotels I've been to understand it. When my kids were young enough to appreciate the services I usually asked at the desk, receiving one of the following responses almost without fail:

"What's Vacation Station?"

"We are not participating in that program."

"I think we have some coloring books or something around here."

and my favorite:

"You have to reserve the Vacation Station rate."

The only Hilton I ever encountered with a reasonable interpretation of the program (based on the advertised) was the Hilton Suites in Auburn Hills, MI. My son just turned 12, so finding a hotel with Nintendo or Playstation in the room or even a good selection of TV stations (Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, etc.) is more important now.

I remember getting some backpacks with some type of 'junk' inside for my kids at the Pointe hilton Squaw Peak a few years back, and somewhere else, but can't remember where. I use the backpacks when I need to take things someplace like food on a plane, or to a beach on a trip and then I throw them out when I'm done. My kids are a bit older now, so I very rarely ask anymore. I do remember seeing the Vacation station booth at the HHV last year, but did not stop.

They have it at Tapatio Cliffs. Down by the pool area, at the desk you can ask for all kinds of toys to take back to your room. Also, the kids got a little back pack thing as well. To tell the truth, the kids pack you can often get at ES in conjunction with Nickelodeon is much better.

Our kids got backpacks at the Hilton in St. John, NB. That made their day! I think they also had games you could borrow.

My son got a fairly nice backpack at the Montreal airport hotel last year. There were no other amenities that I can remember.

Everytime we ask we get that "what is that" response :-/

They have the program at the Caribe Hilton and they run it pretty well.

Do you have a link for this hotel?

Caribe Hilton does it well. We turned the backpack into a baby bag which amazingly lasted longer than any of the other bags we purchased. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

They had lots of toys and games for all ages, and they have babysitting services as well.

Sure... Hilton Saint John (http://www.hilton.com/en/hi/hotels/index.jhtml;jsessionid=2N50BUUR3LGODJ31AOQ2HZQ?cty hocn=STJHITW)

It was quite easy to find on the Hilton web site...

FYI the hotel was right downtown and was quite nice.
