Yep, cashed out last night. I asked why HH didnt simply say that points after 6/1 can only be used for a new award and not at the old levels, while old points could be used for either, similiar to what the airlines did. No answer but told me it did make sense and wouldnt have put such a heavy yoke on HH to pay for all the award stays that are being cashed-in within the coming year. its got to take a toll, IMHO.
Now that I got the 5 certs, the crazy part is to find those free airline seats to get there or some really good MRs.
I was hoping to still save the pts (besides the 200k I have left in the acct) for furture years but now got the yr to use em. I have a few 3-4 night trips to Europe coming up where it'll be less pts under the new system, thats why I left the pts in the acct.
I guess the madness is about to start to not only get the room space but the seat space. The hotel should be OK being a Diamond, its the flights that are going to be fun, thats besides a few hundred LP miles to burn. Too bad no Hs in Costa Rica(I know about the Ham Inn, no interested), or Gua.
