Chicago - Charlie Trotter Closing in August

He's taking a sabbatical (http://chicago.eater.com/archives/2012/01/01/charlie-trotter-to-close-iconic-restaurant-in-august.php) after 25 years. Sounds like Trotter is planning on re-opening in a few years after getting a Master's degree.
Not sure this will have a huge impact on the fine dining scene in town, Trotter's hasn't been making waves for a few years now it seems. But still, a big loss for Chicago.

It would have had a much bigger impact 10 - 15 years ago when there weren't several 4* restaurants in the city.

My grandpa went there about 20 years ago and said it was very good but not worth the money.
