Hilton HHonors - Last minute redemption.

I know it has been discussed but thought I would just remind you all.

I'm planning on going for at least two ALONs and a bunch of other awards -- just in case. I have no idea which others to get, as there are so many to choose from. I guess I should look at where we might go. Anyone else in the same predicament.

I redeemed 5 GLONs and a TEEN award and I was assured as long as the properties don't reclassify as a Category 6 before I make a reservation, then I can use the GLONs anytime in the next year and the TEEN is valid for a year. As a Diamond I don't expect any difficulty getting reservations when I confirm my vacation dates, but the agent did recommend booking Hawaii vacations soon if you have dates because there is plenty of availability at this time.

Sitting at 100,182 miles (thank you delta), I am thinking that I want to redeem at GLON for London, but I'm not sure when. I guess I can give them a set of dates, but you have to make the reservation or can you just redeem the award?

I have yet to have a good experience with any one at HHonors.
