Fairmont President's Club - ACTOP - when is status updated?

I'm relatively new to the Fairmont Presidents Club.
I did 8 stays in 2011 and am a registered ACTOP. As of today, my stay count has reset to 0 but my status didn't change to Platinum (as ACTOP promotes).
Should this happen automatically with the new year account update, does it come as a second update, or does it even require an explicit application?

I would wait a few weeks as the benefit year officially starts on March 1, if your status doesn't change I'd call the FPC line, they should be able to upgrade your status instantly (Fairmont IT usually is pretty crappy, so I wouldn't be surprised if the status didn't get updated automatically)

If it was me, I would contact FPC and inquire whether the 8 stays are recorded correctly, and whether that you qualified under the promo.. doesn't hurt to be proactive..

Definately call them, I had to call 3 times and it finally changed. The first time, they said they would look into it, the second call they said it would not be updated until March. The third time I read them what there promo said and they changed it immediately to reflect platinum. However they said that certificatess would not be sent, but they were in my online account.

Contacting multiple times sometimes reclarifies.. some agents actually don't know all of the programs.. there are so many.
Get the right person, and a person at FPC loyalty who knows what they are doing.. they are trained to handle status, the regular plat desk isn't as up to speed, as the regular plat desk handles reservations..
