ust I need your help guys. I am doing a questionnaire about Egyptair Plus and I need your help to answer these questions and if you have any feedback about Egyptair Plus, Please put it here for me and if you can answer those questions:
What are the reasons which bothered you when you have joined Egyptair Plus?
What are the reasons for you to join FFP
Do you think the Egyptair Plus service meets your expectations?
Have you ever recommended your friends and relatives to join Egyptair Plus?
Are you currently a member of any other Frequent Flyer Programme (FFP)?
If yes, How many FFP are you currently enrolled in? If yes, What are the difference between Egyptair Plus and the other program?

hi there. I'm a blue member and sadly, the blue/silver tier aren't worth having it at all since almost no real privliges are provided. The silver tier is pretty weak in benefits and should be re-evaluated.

Although I'm a gold member on Egyptair plus, I've never had any priority boarding in Cairo airport. Other programs offer it in other countries.
Also on Emirates, I've been given complimentary upgrades at the gate multiple times although I'm not a gold member. However this never happened with Egyptair although I'm a gold member.
Another area of improvement is the lounges in Cairo airport. Although the lounges in terminal 3 are better than the ones in terminal 1, being a relatively new terminal the lounges can be much better. Many other lounges (e.g. Malaysian in Kuala Lumpur and Thai in Bangkok) have shower facilities and a relaxation room where one can lie down for a bit. The food selection can be greatly improved too to include more hot items. Also the lounges in CAI are relatively small.
Another area of improvement can be the Egyptair plus website. It'd be much better if we can redeem our points on the website without it having to be manually processed.
Another point where Egyptair lacks is with its partners. On other airlines I can earn points for hotel stays, which isn't the case with Egyptair. Also on other programs there's a cobranded credit card where I can earn points when I pay for things using that credit cards.
Hope this feedback helps.
Rehab, do you work in Egyptair? It'd be good if Egyptair engages more with the Flyertalk community and give us insights on any upcoming changes and improvements?

this is so true. I've never seen any sign holding the Egypt Air partnership logo in any hotel around the world. This is very weird. The credit card issue is the same too.

In addition to Egyptair Plus, I am also a member of FFPs like Aegean Miles&Bonus and SAS Eurobonus. If you compare SAS Eurobonus vs Egyptair Plus then it is almost like day and night because Egyptair Plus is relatively basic and everything around your programme is poor built (website, customer service on e-mail or chat, partners, innovation).

I joined Egyptair Plus because of Platinum Card and the fact that it is somewhat possible for me to travel to the rest of the world via Cairo with Egyptair.

Living in Norway, Credit Card would not be an option for me, but your programme can improve quickly and easy. Your website looks more like a hobby-project than a professional FFP. Here are some suggestions:

* New and improved website connected to egyptair, I am still hungry for more information about your programme. Do not be shy - let us know EVERYTHING we possibly want to know about your programme. This way you also get fewer questions about the programme on phone and email.

* Add strong, international hotel chains like Hilton, Marriot, Intercontinental, Best Western, Radisson and maybe Global Hotel Alliance. Aegean have booking.com as partner maybe you can have an similar partnership with Booking.com and skip the HRS-partnership that are a really poor Hotel booking engine in my eyes.

* Build up a strong team to work with the programme (administrates, works with ideas, get agreements with partners, communication with customers etc) and send your staff on course to ensure that elite passengers actually get their benefits automatically.

* Add information to your booking engine so I can see what fare class I will get on my flights and how many miles I will earn.

* Miles should not expire after 3 years for Gold members. Keep it simple and make it never expire as long as the member is active posting flights during 36 months.

* Add more perks to the platinum card or/and specify more concrete what we get.

* Make it possible to see how many lifetime miles members have collected when they are logged in.

* Make it possible to book award tickets/upgrades online

* Refer a friend bonus, for example 5000 bonus miles when friend have reached Gold Status to both the referrer and his friend (motivation).

I am sure that our friends here on FlyerTalk can add more ideas for improvements. Your programme have a big potential for both frequent flyers and the airline (marketing, drive traffic to your website, get more loyal passengers that actually pay more for their tickets etc).
