Last night I flew on the 7:50pm departure from FLL to PHX in F on a 321. Great overall experience. Pre-departure drinks. On time departure. Very comfortable seats. For some reason the seat pitch seems better on the 321's that the 320's. FA was great and she brought cocktails with a glass of ice, mixer, and 2 bottles. Meal was either chicken or pasta. I had the pasta which was great. Drinks kept flowing throughout the flight.
This flight in my opinion was on par with domestic F on the legacy airlines.

A lot has to do with aircraft too, the new A321s that the west have gotten as really made flying them a pleasure. The A320/319s are getting long in the tooth and need to redone. But US service has come a long way. Now they need to either sell those OLD 757 on the PHX-HNK route and upgrade to the envoy based 757s..

I don't disagree with the service, the plane, and the food, however, the trashy service of the glass, can, and bottles of booze continues to be a trashy EAST flight service.
I have spoken to many FC FA and they would never do this as they would rather provide real FC service...
We all have different opinions, but this too is supposed to be the "standard" with all US Airway flights.... Maybe a few FA's haven't gotten the memo from early last year...
I am sure my opinion will get trashed, but to each their own!

I completely disagree, this should be moved to the food service topic on this forum, this is not a TR, but a observation from a flight taken.

Until the eastside starts playing well with the West side there is going to be issues... Now I have flown PHX-SAN and had 50% of east FA do the drink service in Y on that route. It been well documented that the east FA's do not do drink service on flights under an hour in Y. The West FA's have no problems doing a drink service on the PHX-SAN/LAX/ONT/BUR/SNA...

I actually think that 2 mini bottles of Liquor and a glass of ice and requested mixer is very classy, and not trashy at all. Especially on a 321 where 1 FA is trying to take care of 16 PAX. To me it is awesome customer service and a way the FA can go above and beyond with limited resources.

On a PHX-SAN-PHX flight (an envoy 757) the FC FA served PDB this way, I ordered a Mojito and recieved two mini's of Run and two Mixers... ^ way to start the short flight...

I totally agree! I prefer the can/glass/2 bottles. You can mix/drink at your own pace, on West flights if I get one premixed drink it may be a long time (no fault of the FA) until I can get another one, not to mention the sanitary benefits of mixing your own. I wish [I]all[I] US flights did this...
