Am thinking of booking the itinerary below on Lan for November next year. Wanted some advice first please

Friday:
Santiago Depart 07:40 to Lima Arrive 09:40
Lima Depart 11:40 to Cusco Arrive 12:55

Friday
Juliaca Depart 07:45 to Cusco (CUZ) Arrive 08:40
Cusco (CUZ) Depart 09:10 to Lima (LIM) Arrive 10:30

Lima (LIM) Depart 13:00 to Santiago (SCL) Arrive 17:25
Anyone see a problem with the transit times at Lima?

Presumably on arrival at Lim from Scl, I need to clear customs, immigration after collecting bags, and then recheck bags etc for flight to Cusco? I have chosen a transit time of 2 hours, even though the Lan site allows a connection time of 1.5 hours for this connection. Any lounges for domestic Lan flights at Lima for a One World Emerald pax? also have Diners club card if that helps;)

On the return, I gather the plane from Jul-Cuz-Lim is the same. Would I be able to check my bags at Jul all the way to Scl? or do I need to collect at Lim, and recheckin for the flight to Scl? I presume 2.5 hours is sufficient transit time at Lima? There is a later Lim-Scl fllght, I guess, if I miss this, assuming I will have some protection given that the tickets are all bought on one PNR?

Your thoughts and advise will be much appreciated:)

Ps: what months are fog at Lima and winds at Cusco a particular problem? Not November, I hope!

CUZ can have delays due to low cloud. When I was there a few weeks ago, we held after push back for 30 min while another aircraft landed - we departed in the same direction as the arriving aircraft came from. This was due to terrain behind Cuzco. Lower cloud would have stopped everything.

Our original flight JUL-CUZ had a departure around 0600. This was later retimed to around 1200. This worked well for me but if you are relying on the JUL departure being early, LA may have a surprise for you. Enjoy the LA meal service on this 30 min flight :D.

LA have lots of flights into CUZ so yours may not necessarily run JUL-CUZ-LIM.

All 4 of our domestic LA flights in Peru were retimed - sometimes on three occasions in the months up to departure. Fortunately none were connections. Therefore, long connections would be wise, indeed, to keep stress free, overnights at connection points might be wise.
