I'm trying to book a one way TPE-NRT-SFO NH1084 and NH8 respectively but having trouble displaying the fare on the ANA website. Found the fare on the ITA tool.

The only place I see that I can do the booking is on Expedia.com, however Expedia doesn't show me the booking fare code, so I'm a little hesitant to book from there. Additionally, I'm trying to upgrade with UA miles so I'm thinking to book directly with ANA to avoid any code/share or third party TA issues.

My questions are

1) is one way economy fare only bookable via over telephone? or is just ex-TPE one ways?
2) Anyone tried to upgrade B-fare to Busniess class before with UA miles? (though this question probably better for UA forum?)
3) is there anyway to check upgradeable space via the ANA Tool? is upgradeable space same as award space?

Thanks in advance

I checked and it does seem like NH will not allow you to book a one-way fare on their Taiwan website. I would give them a call and make the reservation over the phone, as the fare is loaded into the GDS.

In general, yes, but there may be difference in availability if you are an NH elite.

Gotcha, I will try calling tomorrow and also keep an eye out on the award space!

Thank you for your quick response!

Actually, Expedia will show you the fare code. After you select the flight it lets you review the flight details. Section 2 is labeled "Review Rules and Restrictions". In this section there is a link for "rules and restrictions" applicable to this fare. Click on that and it will show you the fare basis code at the top of the page.
