Hoping to get some tips here. I would like to purchase some leather goods from a Japanese store at the Rakuten website but this particular store will not ship outside of Japan. I am familiar with the 3rd party forwarding services they offer but I will soon be in Japan anyway. I will be in Tokyo for 6 days in February and was wondering if there's a way to have them ship to my hotel. I imagine it's possible except I speak nor read no amount of Japanese and have no way of properly communicating my order. Would you know if my hotel can and would be willing to assist me in some way? I don't mind paying a small fee.
Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

With regard to receiving goods, I think you're likely to get the help you need from your hotel - assuming the products you're buying are easy enough to store, not perishable, not hugely valuable, and not delivered too long in advance of your arrival.
It's quite normal for almost all hotels* in Japan to be ready to receive luggage a day or two in advance of guests' arrival. The guest should inform the hotel in advance if he wants to arrange this. I've never come across a fee for this service in Japan **.
If you're looking for the hotel to help you with the actual purchase, I think you could get that kind of help from a concierge at a four star or five star place - or (if you're lucky) from a friendly inn keeper at a family run place. At a mid-range to low-end "factory for sleeping", forget about it.
* The kind of hotels that probably aren't geared to receiving luggage in advance are capsule hotels, love hotels etc. (But heck, if you ask them, they might surprise you).
** When the SFO Marriott charged me a fee for the pleasure waiting around in their lobby while their hopeless staff rooted around for my parcel, then having to go online to dig up a proof of delivery from UPS to persuade them to keep looking, I really wished I was at a Japanese hotel ... any Japanese hotel....

Is the entity selling the leather goods a store itself? Is it possible to just purchase directly from that store while you are in Japan?

Thank you for the advice, jib71! It's not a 4 or 5 star hotel, I'm staying at the Sunroute Plaza in Shinjuku so I'm not sure if they will be very accommodating to such a request.
I had to reread what you wrote that the Marriott CHARGED you for sitting there waiting for your stuff. Crazy.

hailstorm, the store is located in Shizuoka but the leather goods manufacturer is based in Kyoto (Cream company from Kyoto), neither of which are in my destination for my short stay. I cannot find a website for the company either. I should really learn Nihongo.

Apparently, their goods are sold all over Japan, including Tokyo:

The closest place to your hotel is in the "CocoKaruco" store in Iidabashi, a close, straight walk from Iidabashi station.

It's about a 20 minute commute from your hotel, including a 150 yen subway trip.

Might as well see what you're buying before spending money on it!

Sunroute Plaza is a large enough business hotel to entertain such kind of request. This is Japan, and the service is always free of charge. However packages may get lost or returned in error sometimes.
Not to mention You can often specify the delivery date(even hours) of the package, provided the store uses such service, which is pretty common.

This is really helpful and reassuring! Thank you very much!
