LAN LANPASS - How do travel vouchers affect LANPASS qualifying kms?

I know someone posted about this but now I can't find the thread. LAN has offered me an MCO voucher good for one year on any LAN flight. If I use this voucher for partial payment will it change my purchased ticket into an award ticket and render the flight ineligible for credit toward elite qualification?

Well I did it once a year ago, and my flight counted. However I would give LANPASS a call just to make sure.

I found the original discussion in the "still no elite update..." thread. Seems that maybe I was confused. LAN wrote back saying that vouchers have no effect on earning kms. I will be saving THAT email! :D
Anyway, I accepted the voucher. According to LAN it can ONLY be used at a LAN office for travel on LAN so I guess the option to convert to cash is something they no longer do ---- or is that a different flavor voucher?

Well, if they were willing to give you money, they would just credit your card. Thatīs why they give out vouchers. You will have to go to an office once you need to book a flight and just use your voucher as partial payment. They also give out "certificados de descuento" when one has changed a ticket and the new fare is cheaper. These are codes which can be used for any future tickets and can be applied when purchasing online without going to an office.
