Hi;
I will try to frame the feedback as not complaints but more suggestions to Swiss. I live in France and use Lufthansa and Swiss all the time. When I go to SFO I normally use Lufthansa. But I figured to try Swiss on the long haul one time to see. I paid more in fact, 1,900€ vs 1,620, and was thinking well......
Some things that I would hope Swiss consider to improve:
1) Selection of seats. I usually like to see what is ready _before_ I buy. I was hoping to at least have controls after the purchase. But I was shocked to learn Swiss only allows it 24 hours, before the flight. Kind of a crap shoot. I saw they are using SITA and only guess because they outsource the system, there are limits. The SITA system looks old in comparison to the technology from LH or United.
2) The entertainment systems are simply old.
Well I will leave the rest for par chance. But, for now I will be sticking to the Germans :~)
If you fly from Europe to SFO, I personally think the Munich to SFO route on Lufthansa is the best I have used so far. The lounge in MUC is a tad better than ZRH. Not by much, but the showers and variety of food makes 1-2 hours OK.
