Singapore - Immigration at SIN

Got a question:
I will be on a MR into SIN. Arriving late sunday night from BKK and departing again Tuesday night back to BKK and then continuing onwards.

Will that be a problem at immigration? Arriving from BKK and departing back to BKK, staying in Singapore for less than 48H?

No problem at all if you have a passport allowing you to enter.

I'm curious as to why you would think there would be a problem?

People do quick turns at SIN all the time because of its location it's one of the big transit points in Asia so no problem.

I'm used to US and Canadian immigration which find everything strange. Flying from Europe to NY for two days still raises eyebrows at immigration in NY. At least that is my experience.

As other posters have noted, as long as you have a valid passport you're good to go in SIN. The airport is a significant international transit point, so the immigration folks are well used to people in-transit or on short stays.

Two trips to SIN and not one question asked by the immigration officer. They just scanned the passport, took the landing card and stamped them, and you're on your way.

Yes, same here. It would never be a problem. You could arrive with just a newspaper in hand and be scheduled to fly out in a few hours.

I think if you wrote on your landing card that you would be staying the maximum amount allowed per entry (60 days, or is it 90?) that someone might inquire as to the nature of your visit.

even then they don't really bother you...

I remember a late night return to SIN before I activated my working holiday visa, I put that I'll be staying for five or six months... and the person asked me where do I live? I replied Singapore of course without hesitation, only realizing moments later how weird that sounded. By that trip I had been in and out of Singapore almost half a dozen times, most trips for no more than a few days, many actually on day trips.
