Club Carlson - Question about benefits on an upgraded room

So, I'm very unfamiliar with the Club Carlson family of hotels (I've only stayed at them maybe 3 times in the past 5 years), but I recently had a stay at a Radisson.

I signed up for the "start at Silver Elite" promotion and the 50,000 points promo. I stayed at the Radisson in Scranton, PA and was upgraded to a Business Elite room. I wasn't actually told at the front desk that I was until I asked if I could be upgraded and they told me that I was already. I'm not sure of any of the benefits of a Business Elite room and they didn't mention any to me.

So, I got an email to fill out a survey today and I did. Partway through the survey it mentioned something about being upgraded to Business Elite. I said "Yes". The next screen asked my satisfaction with the "Business Elite Amenities" and included things like redemption of meal voucher, drink voucher, etc. I wasn't offered any of these and so obviously didn't use them. I did however, have a few drinks at the bar and ate breakfast there the next morning. So, was I entitled to some discount (or free) vouchers? Should I contact Club Calrson or the hotel directly to ask about them? I made a note in the comments of the survey that I was unaware of these benefits so I was frustrated that I didn't get to use them, but that was it.

Sorry for the long post, but I just wanted to make sure that I accurately described my situation and question.

Thanks!

I guess those benefits are up to each hotel to decide upon. Nothing to do with Club Carlson.

When staying at the Heathrow Park Inn we were upgraded and told that in the evening they have a lounge set up with snacks and beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) for Business Elite room / Suite guests.

We just had a similar experience (as Gold members). We were "upgraded" to the business class room without any of the amenities that go with it (free breakfast voucher, free drink and appetizer) The room was identical to the regular rooms but on a higher floor. They said we could pay extra to upgrade to those amenities. So, bottom line is every Radisson can determine what it wants to call an upgrade... :td:

The experiences here matched my expectation and my actual experience last month. The upgrade is of the room itself, without the "package" amenities that are associated with paying the higher rate.

Most chains have similar "package" rates with and without upgrades. The wrinkle with Carlson is naming the upgraded room class the same as the package rate name. It's confusing when it doesn't need to be.

Seems like it's very much a YMMV situation. We just had a 3-night stay in Orlando and as Gold Elites we were upgraded to a business class room. We were given 2 vouchers for the hot breakfast buffet each morning and 2 drink vouchers each evening. The room was somewhat larger than a standard room and, being a corner room, had views in 2 directions.

This was on an award stay.

Just stayed at the Radisson Boston for 2 nights this weekend for New Years. I am gold elite after matching from Priority club platinum. Was upgraded to a room on their 24th floor, which apparently is their executive floor with a small concierge room with coffee, tea, fruit, and cookies open 9am to 11pm. The rooms seem to be the same standard rooms as on other floors but just on the top floor. Hotel is undr renovation, but still nice...
