Hi everyone,
I booked a return flight in J from LHR to KUL when I noticed I could use my miles to upgrade to Diamond. A quick call on the phone to their ticket centre afterwards and they upgraded me to Diamond on the LHR -> AUH -> LHR legs. I was hoping to get something for the AUH - KUL so that I could use the First lounge in AUH on my way over. Unfortunately, no luck there:(
Anyway, I always thought Virgin Atlantic in SFO were the easiest for upgrades with Cathay being the worst taking multiple weeks and a security alert on the my ticket. However, Etihad have now taken first place here. This also has helped them as I was considering moving to Qatar for the cheaper J fares.
