I hope LAN doesn't get entirely fed up with Argentina one day and disband its domestic operation there. I posted something in the LAN forum. (I could not yet find an English link anywhere.)

My Spanish is a bit rusty but from the article I see Sao Paolo and Santiago mentioned. Does this include domestic flights as well? :td: either way.

Unless I've read it wrong it's only domestic flights that are involved here.

I thought that it relates to flights from Santiago and Sao Paulo, now can't go into AEP.

I'm trying to find out if I'm affected, as I have a ticket for next October, that has flights between AEP and Mendoza on LAN.

So if I have a flight on Lan on 1/1 from MDZ to AEP, I should assume it won't probably fly?

After chatting with a few QF Cabin Service directors on flights between Sydney and Buenos Aires , I was left with the view that part of the reason for QF's switch from EZE t SCL as their SA gateway was in part because of the bureaucratic and political difficulties encountered operating in Argentina.

Yes LAN Argentina is hit by this.... but not LAN Chile. A subtle difference, but from an operational standpoint, LAN Argentina has more potential to operate out of AEP than LAN Chile, hence the big fuss that LAN is making out of this... they are fighting this in Court here in Buenos Aires..... (good luck with that)....
