A big thank you to all the Hilton forum FTers!
I qualify as THE most dumb as a rock, bunny, take your pick Gold Hilton member - no additional descriptions needed by you - the above will do. Read on for why.
I've been Gold for years now (can't remember how many) & never realized the benefits that go along w/ being a Gold.
One, because I didn't read the book that comes out each year (I know, totally totally my own fault) & two, because I've never been extended any of the Gold courtesies by hotels (I can count on 2 fingers the times I've gotten anything & I just thought they were being nice, not that it's policy), and we're not just talking awards stays (of which I've only done 2 in years of staying at Hiltons because I had such difficulty in redeeming them - one time I bought a new television w/ my Hilton points because I hadn't been able to use them for free stays), but some very high ticket paid revenue stays. Nada, bupkus offered by hotels.
Reading your posts & getting very envious of the stuff you've been getting & finding out (thanks to you all) that these are standard benefits, I've now gone to the Hilton website & printed out those benefits & will in future go forth w/ them tucked under my arm when checking in!
And I've been getting InsideFlyer for ages, so why it took me so longer to find flyertalk.com is beyond me (ok, the dumb as a rock/bunny statement probably applies here too).
Thanks all!
