Stayed there two years ago. Nice location, but the look is a bit old. Would need a major renovations. It is not worth what they are charging for it.

This is my home away from home on weekends during hockey season. The hotel is located on the waterfront, and the city businesses can be accessed by an indoor pedway, so you don't need to go outside during inclement weather. The staff at the hotel are all super friendly. There are 3 floors of "plaza"rooms, but no concierge lounge. If you want a lot of room, try 1018,1118,1218,which is a double sized room with sofa, recliner, and lots of room to move around. Corner rooms are also nice. Super Larry is right in that the rooms are not extra fancy, but very comfortable, almost all finished in knotty pine. The lounge and restaurant are very English in looks. As hotels go in Saint John, this and the Delta are the best. Both are comparable in price, and weekends can be had for as little as $115.00CDN, allthough the Hilton had rooms as low as $96.00CDN this winter. If you are Gold or Diamond, always note your status in your reservation and ask to be upgraded upon arrival, which can mean free drinks, breakfast and parking. This hotel does not overwhelm you, but I find it to have a very relaxing atmosphere.

This place needs renovations! Stayed here for a convention and if this is what Hilton is, then I'm very happy with Starwood. This place looks like it was never renovated since the 80's when it was built. Everything is worned and flowery, dusty mint & pink! :td: The city of Saint-John is nice however and I will stay at the Delta next time I'm in town.

My family and I stayed there on vacation this past summer. 2 nights (gold members) we got free full breakfasts and free drinks in the bar.

We stayed in a room which was comfortable and large enough for us to add a cot, although not overly roomy. As we were only there for sleeping, it was just fine - spent the day whale watching off Grand Mannan Island.

Staff at the desk, in the lounge and the dining room at breakfast were friendly, and the location was ideal if you want access to the downtown.

I would stay there again, but haven't tried the Delta (governemnt rate at the Delta is $10 cheaper) yet to compare - they had no availability the nights we were there.
