Transiting Delhi-Kathmandu from AA to Jet. Will I have a lot of explaining to do about carrying a CPAP..what it is etc? I don't have a particularly long connection time so hoping the staff there won't be holding me up with questions, checking with supervisor etc.

I have travelled from and to India with multiple CPAPs. I never had a problem. Last year, I had two CPAPs, one that I was using, and another for my older unit which I planned to leave with my brother. He decided to try something else, so I brought it back with me.
Just about six weeks ago I had three CPAPs since in rhe mean time, I had bought another one, freeing up two CPAPs. I flew into DEL with three CPAPs and out with one. I gave the two older ones to my brother. I carry a prescription from my physician and travel letter from the manufacturer of my unit.
Which kind of CPAP have you got?
CPAP is quite well known in India in the medical community. I would go as far as saying that Indian physicians are either better informed about sleep apnea, or get a cut on pushing CPAPs. I was diagnosed with severe sleep apnea with an AHI of 93 on a visit to India. I had all the classic symptoms of sleep apnea, but my doctors here in the U.S. did not even think of sending me in for a sleep study. When I returned from India, my PC physician had to be literally forced to consider the possibility of sleep apnea, grudgingly referring me to a sleep specialist.

KLM are very positive to CPAP users. I think you'll have no trouble at all.

I think, the OP is talking about having a CPAP with him, not using it on board a flight. DEL-KTM flight is a very short flight, not even an hour long.
What's the KLM connection here?
How positive is KLM? I was asboslutely prohibited from using CPAP on a kLM flight last year, Dec 2010 even though there was power available. The pilot got involved and supposedly talked to the Company and informed me in no uncertain terms that it was against KLM policy to allow CPAP use, even tough I had a travel document from the manufacture stating that the CPAP complied with FAA requirements.
Have you got any personal experience using a CPAP on a KLM flight?
