Hilton HHonors - Question for New HHonors Am Express

Last weekend I applied for a new HH Am Ex card and was told at the time I applied that the application was approved. I know I don't get points until after I use the card, but I need to expedite obtaining both those application points and "use of card" points before June 1. Has any FT encountered the issue and been able to expedite? I may wait to receive the card and then contact Am Ex to see what date my billing cycle is...but that is all I can think of.

Suggestions?

I applied for both the HH AMEX and the HH Visa last month, got my cards about a week later and made a purchase with each card immediately so points would post quickly. I have not seen any bonus points post to my HHonors account yet, and I keep checking on line. My statement closing date is April 25th, so I am assuming the points will show up after that. I'm wondering now if a payment must be made before points are credited to my HHonors account. If so , by the time I get my statement and make payment it would probably not credit my HH points until the close of the next statement. I have brought this up a couple of times on this message board but I have not found an answer. If I don't see points by the end of this week, I will call AMEX and see if they can tell me when points should show up in my HHonors account. I have been told, as far as Visa is concerned to check to be sure they have not opened a whole new HHonors account which they sometimes do. I guess I'll call them too and check.

At least you'll eventually get your bonus miles.

I comitted a dumb mistake...
I received my Hilton HHonors Visa last August 2002. I stayed at an Embassy Suites in LA in Feb 2003, so I didn't use it until then. I wondered why I didn't receive my 10K bonus points, so I called Visa. They told me I had to use the card within 60 days after receiving the card in order to get the 10k bonus points.

DOH!!!!

At least I'll retain my Silver status until next year.
