I think it does fit, but I haven't had much luck with the power points working very well. I've been told by flight attendants that you have to tell them you are going to use it so they turn on some other switch or something. I never understood that as the light always seemed to be on it. If you are concerned just buy a cheap australian to american adaptor. m0hamed Dec 17, 11, 4:04 pm I think it does fit, but I haven't had much luck with the power points working very well. I guess there are no USB power ports? coogee Dec 17, 11, 9:48 pm Australian plugs will fit all on-board sockets in Y, J and F. J and F also have USB sockets which can be used to recharge devices only (ie it wouldnt give access to whats on the device you connect through the entertainment system). But this USB Port might not recharge all devices. For example, it doesnt really work with iPads as they require a higher current. m0hamed Dec 18, 11, 12:17 am Australian plugs will fit all on-board sockets in Y, J and F. I'm fairly certain Qantas/BA also just power and not charge. SighMN Dec 18, 11, 2:04 am Australian plugs will fit all on-board sockets in Y, J and F. Yeah I've never had any luck with the USB charger thing even with my iPhone. I just have a USB plug that plugs into the power port. Red light = no power being supplied Green light = power being supplied If the light is red, yes, you should ask the flight attendants, who should then switch power on for you. Power available in all classes on EY, btw. People don't often know this in Y, as it is under the seats on many aircraft. |
