Canada - Truth in Airline Advertising Coming to Canada

The government of Canada is enacting laws requiring airline advertising to display the *full* cost of the ticket including all fees.

So if the ad says "London from $999" then you should be able to actually buy a ticket to London for $999.

It should have been effective immediately, not for 2013....that is too long.

A week or 2 should have been enough notice for them to change their websites and advertisements.

This has taken far too long.

And what about foreign airlines which are not based out of Canada? Are they required to follow the law as well or they can practice their crooked ways still?

They have to follow the rules for ads they run in Canada.
