A search of this forum has only elicited one mention of this hotel. Has anyone stayed there recently? I'm particularly interested in how they treat elites. But any information would be welcome. :)

I have stayed and had another colleague stay there. Have also been to a couple of events there for business. It is decent location as attached to the Mall for Shopping, Dining, skiing!, etc. IN my experience the service has all been terrific, all issues, questions, requests, etc were handled promptly.

It is about a year old so everything is in great shape. I had a normal room and it was absolutely perfect and very spacious. The breakfast/brunch is simply amazing. Extremely clean hotel.

Thanks for that (rather reassuring) feedback!

Does anyone have experience of the club lounge?

I can answer my own question now after staying for 4 nights last month. In a word this property is excellent.

My views may be coloured by the fact that I got a nice Plat upgrade - from executive king to a (small) executive suite - and a very nice amenity of a (huge) fruit bowl, a layered tea tray of canapés and a 750ml bottle of "sparkling date drink". (Told my partner I just needed a sparkling date to drink it with! He wasn't amused.)

Apart from possibly the lack of a turn down service I never felt that this was 4* hotel. Standards of everything from the room to the restaurant and the Executive Lounge were uniformly high. I liked the Roger & Gallet bathroom amenities and the Nespresso machine in the room. (The 5* Kempinski in the same complex gives Nescafe sachets.) Internet was fast (and free on my rate). There were so many pillow choices I had trouble deciding which one I should use.

The lounge served an excellent breakfast with lots of choice and plenty of hot items and a small selection of delicious canapés (kept fresh in the refrigerator instead of curling or wilting on a counter) with the evening drinks - which included bubbly. There were very few people in the lounge at any time, perhaps because there were no business travellers over New Year.

The bathroom had a Japanese-style wet room with bath and adjacent separate shower in the same area. The door to this did not seal properly and caused some flooding into the main bathroom area (as has been consistently reported in the regular rooms with over-bath showers) every time the shower was used. There was also a bidet in this bathroom.

But most impressive was the wonderful friendliness and helpfulness of staff. Despite some trivial niggles experienced, based on my stay I unreservedly recommend this property.

Yup, agree with everything said. Did you have the normal breakfast brunch or just eat up in the lounge?

Huge selection was very impressive to me when I stayed there, although this was shortly after opening and have only had other meals there since. Not sure if they have "toned-down" the breakfast. It was very nice.

They also often offer the buy-up to the Business level to normal travellers with no status, for ~25US you can easily get your money's worth on free alcohol during happy hour if you plan to drink in this town anyway...if expensing it, then head elsewhere.

Mostly used the lounge but one morning ate in the restaurant. The choices were, as you say, mind boggling. It even ran to a choice of ice creams! (Or were they part of the dinner sweet buffet?! Either way they were on display in the glass fronted freezers and SO had one!)

We also ate dinner in the restaurant and the salad bar was massive and easily good for a full meal. Most enjoyable restaurant generally.
