Would be glad to get some advice here.

I know where to get Vegas souvenirs or cheap Versaces: what I'm looking for is somewhere that's the Vegas equivalent of NY's Conway's - end of line discount stuff, not necessarily clothes.

I've seen some Burlington Coat Factory and TJ Maxx stores on the strip malls outside of the center of town - is that about it, or is there something I'm missing ?

Thanks

D.

How about an outlet (http://www.premiumoutlets.com/outlets/outlet.asp?id=58)?

Additional info here too: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/las-vegas/1258814-fashion-outlet-worth.html

I found the outlets to be good if you're looking for cheap branded stuff. However, not really like a Conways.

there is a large Nordstroms Rack if you're looking for clothes @ Warm Springs Rd and Stephanie st.

The Premium Outlet is not that great unless you find a good closeout deal. But then last time I went there it was to vote so maybe things are better now. http://www.premiumoutlets.com/outlets/outlet.asp?id=61

Sometimes you can find special closeouts at the Primm outlets, but other than Williams Sonoma, I've never found anything that much cheaper.

sorry for the self quote, but I was curious about this outlet since I had not been there in a while. It went through a renovation and there is a new annex building. It is a lot cleaner than I remember and more mid-to-high-end shops are open than before. I still hate the fact there are so many kiosks in the main building. I know most malls have gone renting space like this, but some of these kiosks have really aggressive sales people. Moreover, it makes it harder to navigate the mall itself. I wonder if the fire martial approves of all the kiosks-obstacles?

But back to my point, I found prices at the Timberland and Coach outlets to be very good.

There's another discussion of shopping in Las Vegas here (http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/las-vegas/1258814-fashion-outlet-worth.html), but nothing really earth shaking. Most folks thought the LVPO's were nice enough. Las Vegas just isn't generally the place you think of for discounted designer merchandise.
