Any suggestions for a kosher (doesn't have to be mehadrin) restaurant in Jerusalem (Emek Refaim area or nearby would be most convenient) for a group of 15 -- 6 40-somethings, the rest teenagers/college/army age?

Food was excellent. However, the service gave the impression that our waiter quit mid-way through the meal...what actually happened is that they had 2 waiters working, and gave the same guy both our party of 11 and another party of 16 -- and let the other guy run the rest of the place. We were in first, and ordered before the other group arrived; then the problems started: nobody cleared the appetizer stuff before they started serving the steaks, etc. Then, follow-up (water, ketchup for burgers/fries, etc) was next-to-impossible (yes, even when the Talpiot residents at the table were asking). Then, our dirty dishes sat for over 25 minutes before they cleared them -- and it took another 10 minutes to get dessert menus. Finally, the other large group left, and they came to get our dessert orders. We also went to Masaryk just the 4 of us -- we REALLY enjoyed their food. Thanks for the tips! |
