Etihad Airways Etihad Guest - Any bright spots on EY's award chart?

I have few EY flights coming in paid C and haven't yet made my mind where to credit them. The obvious choices are either EY's own program or AA's.

Had a quick look at the award chart and it didn't look very promising. Am I missing something?

I might have some EY flights coming in Y also, so having EY status might help on those cases. How often do you get lucky with opups being an elite member? It used to be relatively common at least on EK.

I don't have personal experience but my friend is 3 for 3 on Y-->J opups on AUH-JFK and JFK-AUH. Always goes during peak periods though.

I would personally credit to AA. A much more generous program overall. Note that AUH-JFK/ORD/YYZ and vv flights booked with EY flight numbers will not credit with AA.
