Middle East - Good rate and/or hotel option for day rate in Dubai?

My wife and I will pass through Dubai from SFO (via LHR) in May going to and from the Seychelles. We'll be on different award tickets from LHR (BA F) and onto SEZ (EK J). It looks like going one way or possibly both, we'll arrive in DX early morning and then won't fly out until about 2 a.m. the next day.
Here's my question: Does anyone have any recommendations for hotels that might charge good day rates under these circumstances? Perhaps the stays are so long that I should just book regular overnight stays at a given hotel, but if there are any other options I'd welcome them.
Thanks for any help!

You can try Al Sondos Suites in Deira near the airport and across the street from City Centre Mall. I usually use cash&points to stay and they have a great steak sandwich.
Another option would be Dar Al Sondos Hotel in Bur Duabi, but it is further from the airport. Both options are decent, but Al Sondos Suites is a better hotel. It is across the street from the mall and has a subway station right outside the restaurant doors.
You can also try some of the other options in Dubai, but have found the 2 referenced SPG properties to be of good value. Also I've stayed at the 4 points in Bur Dubai (2 different properties). The one on the main intersection is a better location, but the other one that is off the main street is newer. Have fun and don't shop too much!

Thanks very much!
I have a quick CAI-DXB-CAI trip where I arrive at 4:00 am and return at 4:00 pm. I am looking for a day or hourly rate as I only need to catch a couple hours of sleep and freshen up before a 10:00 am meeting.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

NWstu: One option, though not very convenient, is to use the airport airside hotel. It's very nice, but not convenient because to get there, you have to pretend that you are transiting, go through security by the transit desk (they don't ask for your boarding pass, though you could also possibly get your return boarding pass at the same time), then make your way to the hotel. Then, when you leave, go backwards though the same security (they won't mind) and exit the airport. Of course this won't work if you have checked luggage.
Mecabq,
Thanks for the advice. Because of the time constraints I had to find a place, I decided to book at the Holiday Inn Express opposite Terminal 3. Rate was < USD 100 all-in even though I will only be at the hotel for 4 hours.
Appreciated your response.
